New Fire Apparatus
Two replacement Fire Trucks will be introduced to the public in 2018. The purchase of these trucks was approved by the Warrensburg voters in April of 2017, and will be funded by a tax increase on real property for a period of ten (10) years.

Veterans Road Extension
This extension will provide a second access route for emergency services, connection to retail services to an area that currently has only one point of ingress and egress. The funding of this road was approved by the Warrensburg voters in April of 2017, through a tax increase on real property for a period of five (5) years.

City-Wide Traffic Signal Upgrade
​For better traffic flow, energy conservation, and maintenance efficiencies, 19 controlled intersections in Warrensburg will be upgraded. The funding of these traffic signals was approved by the Warrensburg voters in April of 2017, through a tax increase on real property for a period of five (5) years.

Ford F550 Truck
​The Public Works department will purchase a replacement F550 dump truck with plow for miscellaneous street repairs, snow and debris removal. This purchase will be made out of the General Fund, which is funded in part by the one (1) cent sales/use tax.

Community Contracts

Community Agreements
​Each year the City enters into various contractual agreements with non-profits and other organizations, including City recognized Commissions or Boards, for funding. In fiscal year the CIty has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Depot Renovation Preservation and Maintenance Corporation, Johnson County Economic Development Corporation, OATS, Inc., Pioneer Trails Regional Planning Commission, Warrensburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, Warrensburg Main Street, and the Whiteman Area Leadership Council. The funding of these contracts will come frome the General Fund, which is funded in part by the one (1) cent sales/use tax.
