Shooting press release

Warrensburg Officers Investigating Shooting

On November 1, 2018, at 1:37 am, officers on patrol heard what they believed were gunshots in the area of the 100 block of West Pine St.  When the officers arrived on scene, they found a blood trail and shell casings on the street in the 100 block of W. Pine.  As the officers interviewed people in the area, they were told a female victim (22 yoa) was struck in the wrist by gunfire and transported by private vehicle to a local hospital.  As the officers continued to investigate, they discovered further evidence of the shooting (property damage and shell casings).  The officers were notified of a second female victim (21 yoa) being treated at the hospital.  The second victim was struck in the shoulder area.   Both victim’s injuries are non-life threatening.  The victims live in Warrensburg, MO.

The only suspect information we have at this time is a heavy set male with face length dread locks.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Warrensburg Police Department at 660.747.9133.
