The City of Warrensburg has activated a feature on its website that will allow for citizens to be notified, by email and/or text, when it has activated the Emergency Snow Ordinance. Receiving these alerts will help citizens know when to move their vehicles off of "Emergency Snow Routes" so that Public Works crews can more effectively treat and plow routes for traffic. Moving your vehicle will also avoid a potential parking violation ticket when snow accumulation is greater than 2 inches. So whether you live on a snow route, or park on one while working or attending class at UCM please sign up for these notifications.
Don't know where the snow routes are? Snow routes are marked with the signs seen in the picture included in this announcement. Also, more information is available about the Emergency Snow Routes and treating/removal process on our City website under the Public Works Department menu. You can also contact our Public Works Department directly at (660)262-4661.
While you are signing up for this feature you might also want to consider signing up for other helpful notifications such as when Council meetings occur (and the agenda), calendar events, news flashes, and job postings. This is a simple and easy way to stay up to date with what is happening in your local government and community.
