City Representatives Encouraging Retail Growth for Warrensburg at International Conference

Warrensburg, Mo. – City representatives interact with retailers at the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Deal Making Conference in Chicago, in effort to increase retail and restaurant presence in Warrensburg.

The ICSC conference provides the opportunity for public and private entities to gather, network, and make deals to form successful business partnerships.

Retail Coach was hired by the City of Warrensburg in 2015. They provided representation and handout materials to City officials, increasing the level of networking with retailers to produce growth within the community.

This event increases the potential to produce commercial growth throughout Warrensburg. “We provided a lot of information to potential retailers and restaurants. Our attempts to build relationships shows the worth of our community and encourages them to consider Warrensburg for their next project,” said Harold Stewart, Warrensburg City Manager.

While the relationship with developers and retailers can take more than a year to develop, the community has already benefited from this type of exposure. Construction of Chipotle off of North Maguire street is a direct result of communications fostered at previous ICSC conferences.
