[ARCHIVED] New Animal Shelter Manger Hired

The City of Warrensburg welcomes Kerri Lewis as the new Old Drum and Friends Animal Shelter Manager. Ms. Lewis’ first day will be on July 1, 2019.

City Manager Harold Stewart stated, “We are excited to have Ms. Lewis as part of the team and believe that her public relations background will help move the shelter forward positively. She will build relationships in the community that we hope will translate into volunteer and community financial support of the shelter.”

Lewis brings with her nearly 20 years’ experience in community outreach. She has experience working for state and municipal organizations, with several years’ experience in special event planning and fundraising.

“I am excited for this new opportunity. The Old Drum and Friends Animal Shelter has been making great strides in our community, and I can’t wait to be a part of the great team in place.  I know members in the community are passionate about our animal shelter and I want to keep that momentum going,” said Lewis.

The Old Drum and Friends Animal Shelter’s mission is to provide a safe, healthy, and loving environment for our animals, match the perfect forever home for both the animal and adopter, and offer exceptional community involvement opportunities.
